Global accountancy standards body ICAS appoints Wilful Group taskforce, Gong Communications and Riverside Communications to combined PR and PA brief.

ICAS, the professional body and examiner that awards the prestigious CA qualification for chartered accountancy has handed a media relations and public affairs brief to Gong Communications and Riverside Communications following a competitive four-way pitch.

Commenting on the news, Sarah Speirs, executive director of membership and communications at ICAS said, “It’s time for ICAS to turn up the volume on awareness of our work in regulation and standard setting in support of reform and enhanced reporting at a time when the world needs trust and transparency like never before.”

Wilful Group co-founder Narda Shirley added, “This is a milestone win for Gong and Riverside working together under the Wilful taskforce umbrella. Ten years ago the Harvard Business Review published an article titled Accountants Will Save the World. ICAS is a global authority on how organisations accurately report financial success and as such has an important perspective on how we value and report to deliver a just and green transition. This is an exciting issue to be tasked to work on.”
